Per Day Rental

Canoes: 2 People-$ 30.00, Center Riders-$ 7.00 (No charge 6 and under).

Kayaks: Single-$ 25.00, Double-$ 32.00

Tubes: With Headrest-$ 15.00, W/O Headrest-$ 13.00, & Cooler Tubes-$ 13.00

One Hour Rental is $ 10.00 Per Tube. 

All prices include a Life Vest or PFD Seat Cushion.

We require a $ 20.00 Reservation deposit for all Watercraft.

Group Discounts Available ( with reservations Sun. - Fri. ).

We recommend, if possible, to canoe on a weekday when the river is less populated.

Reservation Procedure

Due to popularity of canoeing and to avoid disapointment, reservations are recommended - especially on weekends.  Cancellations must be made with at least a 15 days notice to be eligible for refunds.  However group cancellations must be made 30 days in advance of reservation date for refunds.  Reservations require partial payment.  Credit cards accepted.  Walk-ins and short notice reservations are welcome on a space-available basis.

Your Responsiblities

You are responsible for your own safety.  No liability is accepted by Whispering Pines Campground & Canoe Livery or its employees.  The abuse of alcoholic beverages during canoe outings is prohibited.  Beer kegs, glass containers, and styrofoam coolers are prohibited.  We reserve the right to check coolers.  The Arenac County Sheriff Department enforces state laws and local ordinances.  Please keep the river clean.  Do not litter.  There is no garbage services along the river, so pack it in and pack it out.  Canoeists recklessly causing damage to equipment will be charged.  There will be a charge for broken or lost equipment.

Weather Conditions

We operate rain or shine.  Rain right before your trip may improve your canoeing experience.  If weather conditions are extreme, water currents too swift, or water levels too high, we issue a rain check.  We do not issue refunds due to inclement weather.  Rain Checks will be issued and must be used in the season issued.

Trip Tips

There is no such thing as " bad weather ", only inadequate clothing.  Dress in layers, morning temperatures are often cool, afternoons warmer.  One of the joys of canoeing is the peace and quiet of the scenic river.  Respect private property and stop only at public landings.  Leave valuables and non-water proff cameras in the car and lock it.  Avoid losing wallets or car keys - Storage Key Service in office -- No Charge.

35.00 per day. $230 Weekly. $690 Monthly.

$45.00 per weekend days.

$55.00 per day Holiday and Holiday weekends.

No Pets and No Smoking allowed in Cabin.

The cabin has a Full-size futon in the front of the cabin and 2 Twin size bunk beds in the back, sleeping a total of 6 people. Also included is a fire ring, picnic table, heater, coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator.

Linens and bedding are not furnished. Please bring your own.

3-4 night minimum stay required on Holiday weekends.

Cancellation Policy

At least a 1 night's deposit is required on all reservations. Please call at least 7 days prior to your scheduled arrival date to cancel your reservation, there will be no cancellation fee assessed. If cancellations is less than 7 days from arrival, there will be a 1 night's fee charged to your account. If you are a no call/no show, the full reservation will be charged to your account.
